	"Pay a penalty unless you port your mortgage to the next property you buy..." If you sell a home with a fixed mortgage you are going to pay a penalty unless you port your mortgage to the next property you buy . If you are not buying a property and just want to cancel then you will pay a penalty of 3 month interest. Which could up quite a lot as most of the mortgage interest in paid within the first 5 years of your mortgage.
