    Q. If the home is owned by both husband and wife what happens to the home when the husband dies?

unless a pre-nup says otherwise, the wife is FIRST entitled, and must present a DEATH certificate to the bank or mortgage co. if applicable. If paid off, simply the deed is transferred to reflect ONLY her name sake with PROOF of death. (as long as she didn`t OFF him! lol..joking! :P)

    Q. If the home is owned by both husband and wife what happens to the home when the husband dies?

all furnishings in the house, if not mentioned under a tenant policy (insurance) are YOURS. Plain and simple.
t_cameron76 said: oh wait! I read the Q wrong! My bad..sorry! Nope..as a previous Insurance Broker, and my parents' being renters, THAT stuff is the RENTERS' stuff regardless of the dwelling, unless you have written agreement saying it's YOURS in the case of your hubby's death, which doesn't sound right to me..hmmm.. Don't take something that isn't yours - but then again, I don't know the WHOLE story, so I'll stop there. I value my reputation on here! Good luck

    Q. Can i cancel a martial arts agreement due to a military move? contract was not signed?

    Powered by
My question involves a consumer law issue in the state of: washington hi, i recently signed my children up for martial arts classes which they have only attended three times. i filled out an agreement for 24 months totaling $6000 to be debited out of our checking account. a week after signing up, my husband received military orders that we will be moving. i mailed (certified, return receipt) a cancellation notice earlier this week notifying the business of our move at the end of september. the owner contacted me and told me that i can not give them a cancellation notice until i physically move. he also said that he will not honor the day he received the notice as the start of our 30 day notice. instead, he says he will not start the 30 days until he receives not only the military orders, but also a utility bill from our new address. it may be up to a month before we get a utility bill at the new address. so this obviously would require us to be paying for at least 2 months of lessons after we have already moved. is this requirement reasonable? additionally, we ordered $400 (paid with our debit card) worth of martial arts gear which he had to order, and we have not received. he will not give us our money back for these items. he said when it gets in we can come and pick them up. are we required to take possession of the items? if we don't, is he required to give us our money back? we also have a copy of our agreement. it is completely filled out, but we only signed the portion informing us of a $0 non-refundable initiation fee. the last line of the contract states: "i have received a copy of this contract, the rules, services and a class schedule. by signing below i acknowledge that i have read and agree to the terms and conditions on both sides of this agreement." next to the statement is a spot for initials and a signature and date line below it. we neither initialed or signed this statement. furthermore, even though it references "both sides of this agreement" the back of this sheet is blank. does the omission of the final signature relieve me of my commitment? thanks for any help in advance!

As a veteran, I have to ask how military orders "just came in". I've always known when my orders were coming in, how long I had to prepare (often 9-12 months) before the report date, and where I was going. You had to have known orders were coming in soon. The military doesn't normally just send orders, then force him and his family to be there in a week. Now that that's taken care of, if you're in a highly populated military area, most businesses have a "military clause". I'm not sure if it's a law or just a volunteer-type program. Basically, a military clause will allow you to not be penalized due to moving beyond a 50 mile radius due to orders to a new duty station. You signed the agreement, however. And in that line that you signed, you acknowleged that you agree to both the front and back (regardless of initials or another signature). So if this were to go to court, his lawyer would definately point that out. Also, your husband can easily get a copy of his orders from his Personnel Office. That would at least prove you are moving, and that's a start.

    Q. How can a tell if my husband is cheating?

    Powered by
Well to make a long story short, we have had our share of martial problems, but recently i made a decide to move our family away from the things and people that has cause these problems. basically to start over...well recently he has been saying that i'm cheating on him or start fights over nothing...and now he will not allow me to give him oral sex anymore...

He won't have sex with you because he thinks your cheating on him. He's insecure for some reason. You'll have to find out why.

    Q. Hi i need advice from parents of teenagers please. my husband & i have an 18 yr old son. last october we moved?

    Powered by
To a nice country home closer to his college. i got a job with the federal govt and things are a little easier for us. two months after we moved in he moved in with his girlfriend. i thought he would be happier in a nicer home and our finances are a little better. he said the reason he moved out is he wants to move forward with his life and do things on his own. he works, goes to college full time, gets good grades, works hard at his job and studies martial arts. he is not lazy nor disrespectful to me. we were always close. however, i think he is trying to grow up too fast. he is too young to be serious and living with someone. they share bills, buy food, they live together. he bought her a promise ring last year. it's not that i don't like her i think he should be enjoying his youth and not be committed to someone so young. i was hoping he would at least stay home till he graduates college. he lives 15 minutes from me but i rarely see him. i miss him so much i'm heartbroken.he works at a retail store and pretty much the only time i can see him is if i go to the store where he works. i am very depressed over this . i know he has to grow up but i think he is rushing everything. i know i can't do anything about it cause he is over 18 but it sickens me. by the way they both work at the same store that's where he met her. i want him to come home so i can be a mother to him at least a few more years. sometimes i cry about it.any advice? thank you.

Wow. With all due respect, and understanding how mothers are (had one, and was married to one), you are more concerned with fulfilling your own life, satisfying your own needs and wishes, than his. Think about what you are saying. Seem to be more about you than him. Let him fly, grow, start and enjoy his life, like your parents did for you. And be there if and when he needs you. Just be happy and satisfied you raised a great kid, and leave it at that. Your job is done, and you succeeded. Now move on, go back to school, or take classes, get a hobby, travel, enjoy life, and in a few years, you will have grandchildren to nurture. That's always the best part of life anyway. Parents have to say no. Grandparents get to say yes.

    Q. How do i keep loving my husband when he's down?

    Powered by
He has no job (worked 6 mos), no highschool diploma, no money, or assets, he is deep in debt, and has a child, and two stepchildern from a past relationship he cannot finanically support. i love him inspite of his short comings, but am i stupid for thinking he will get it together so we both can live the good life? i try to educated him, but he is moving too slow for me. we have been together since 2004, and married last november 2006. i am 30 and wish to have a baby of my own but this situation screams no way! i work all the time to support us all. on top of that i am getting sex on average once a week, and that is making me even more fustrated, becasue my husband is tired from fighting in mixed martial arts. i am a very goodlooking women with normal sex drive why aren't we having sex? i am not feeling the love i should have for him right now. i have to almost convince myself every morning things will get better, but i am starting to wonder...will they? please help me!!!!

You knew about all these things when you married him right? So whatever you found attractive about him you need to think about that and focus on it. You may not be having sex because he is insecure and overwhelmed by his lack of success in his life. People don't generally change, although some do. You have to decide if you can put up with his shortcomings for the rest of your life, and you are right, this situation screams NO WAY in terms of having a baby.

    Q. My husband is working on becoming a professional muay thai fighter, should i be concerned with...?

    Powered by
I am extremely proud of him. he is truly passionate about martial arts and has more than enough potential to become a professional fighter. he is well on the way. but i wonder how drastically our life will change. i am excited about all that will come with the pro status, a large income, a moderate amount of fame, and the chance for him to do what he loves. but our life has changed so much in the last 4 years already. we spent 4 years in germany because he was in the army, he has been to war, we have been through the loss of a loved one, moving from country to country, city to city and finally he is out of the army, we bought a house and life is normal again. now, in an instant that could all change. he will become a pro fighter and i am worried about losing "normal". is this something i should worry about or just take life as it comes? i do support him. it was never a question of support. more like i wanted to know other people's thoughts on the subject. about the military, that is done. it was a great start to our life, it opened many doors. and we are grateful for it. but he does not want to re-join. as for the pro status, the right people are in place to help him along. it is no question that he will make it big. he knows too many people in the industry. thanks for the answers.

The life of a fighter is not easy as you can see. With fame and fortune comes sacrafice. I would say look at this as an adventure and worry about the normal life later when he retires.

    Q. What's the name of this foreign film?

    Powered by
I saw this fabulous film a few years ago. i don't even know why i started thinking about it now, but it's popped into my head and it's bugging me that i can't remember the name. i believe it was japanese, i think it was in the 2000s. i remember quite a bit! it's about this young man who breaks into people's home and lives there for a time, cleaning the homes and making repairs on anything he finds broken (clocks and such), before moving on. he ends up living in a home of a husband and wife; it's an unhappy marriage, arranged, i think. he falls in love with the wife and, while the husband is away, he watches the wife and helps her around the house without her ever seeing him. she senses he's there, however, and tricks him one day and she actually meets him. when her husband comes home, i think he beats up both of them until the man gets one of the husbands golf clubs and hits him over the head. the man and the woman live together and live the nomad life for a short time together. one of the ways they did this was by placing flyers door-to-door in a neighborhood one day, then returning the next day and going into the home where the flyers were untouched. they are eventually found and arrested when the children of an elderly man find them in their father's home. the police find the father's body, who the man and woman had found dead in his home and buried in a respectful and traditional ceremony. the woman is returned to her husband, who promises he has changed, and the man goes to jail. eventually, he escapes and goes back to the woman, living in her home behind her husband's back but in her plain sight. something about a martial arts moves and shadowing or something. it really was a great movie and i'd love to finally find it and buy it...if i could only remember the name!

It's called 3 Iron. Yes, that movie is amazing. But I thinks it's Korean.

    Q. My ex husband has turned my son into a fighter?

    Powered by
My ex husband who i am trying to divorce as we speak has always been obsessed with fighting. he has always done martial arts, boxing, wrestleing, watched boxing matches, bare knuckle fighting, fighting dvds, you name it. we have been split up for the last 4mths despite us both still living together. i have always tried my upmost to protect my children from this kind of lifestyle because i don't want my kids to turn out like my husband. ofcourse my husband is now using all of this to get back at me for divorcing him as the other day him and his mate decided to video my 7 and 5 year old son in the lounge wrestling each other, i was totally disgusted by it. he is moving out soon thankfully. it is because of my husband that my 7 year old is so violent and constantly fights when we go to ballpits. recently i have noticed my 7 year old bullying his 5 year old brother with violence. it can only get worse when the kids go stay with him when he moves out.

Martial arts is usually very disciplined. If you can afford it I would set him up in martial art classes. Explain to the instructor what is going on.....he/she will make sure that your son learns to not use his fighting on anyone other than an opponent. In a way you are playing "if you can't beat them then join them" but you will be teaching your son discipline in fighting, the correct way to do it and the time/place to do it.
