I read some where that you can save disk space by partitioning drives. is that recommended, is it difficult? can a person mess up their pc if they don't do it correctly? i'm new at this, i just added another 512mb ram although system properties shows total ram as 960mb, i had 512mb before, i thought 512 + 512 was 1024mb? i' confused.

Your C:// drive is the hard drive, your CD drive is useually called D:// and if you have more then one hard drive or cd drive it will follow with E:// or F:// (right click "START" and select explore, What drive letters do you see, right click one and select properties, it will tell you how much space you have on it, Pay attention to what the drive is labled <Local drive or CD drive. You cant save your files to the CD drive unless you have a blank cd. (you dont need a CD burner to save the files to a cd,).
