First class mail international is not able to have a tracking number it can take anywhere between 1 3 weeks or longer if the item is held up in customs by the way usps was closed 4th of july weekend a lot of shipments will be late during this time since it was a usa holiday if your item doesn t show up within a few days contact the seller for proof of shipment copy of receipt or customs form if they are unable to provide it then file a report with ebay or paypal to try to get your money back

I hope you'll be more fortunate than I was, but I remember once when a letter from Vancouver took 3 months to arrive at my hometown in Ann Arbor, MI. Of course, you are talking about the other way round, which in my opinion is not much more efficient, but figure about a week or so.

Someone said: Expect a minimum of two full weeks, possibly a bit longer. CanadaCustoms are the culprits in these delays, NOT USPS (which are very very fast) nor Canada Postal Service (which are Canadian eh, but relatively fast). CasnadaCustoms are the ones that you want to yell at...don't bother cuz they'll make you pay if you call them, e-mail them whining about it sometimes. It is CanadaCustoms that create delays. It should technically take a maximum of 10 days in total. CanadaCustoms just don't give a rat's ass one iota.

Q. How long does international shipping take from the usa to canada?

I live in nb, canada and i am ordering something from the us (i believe new york). there are several different shipping options but since what i am buying is only $30 i am debating between the "international shipping" option which is free or the "usps first-class mail international parcel" option which is $6.60. was just wondering how long both options would talk and if it would be worth it to throw in the extra $6.60. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

In America, where I am, usps first class shipping is free and takes less than a week to arrive but is free in America , so i am not really sure about the free, just my opinion, thATS all I know, ,good luck. Plus the free shipping should only take three to four days at the most more than the six dollar option. Good luck again

Foreign postal services don't usually scan customs form. It may have been stolen. Next time when you mail a parcel to India and some other countries,consider adding registered mail if you use First Class International or some priority international services. Registered mail and some priority international services have indemnity coverage and some don't. Registered mail also has good tracking. Some priority International services have good tracking and some don't. I have a problem when I ship a parcel to Ukraine. I don't sending to Poland and Canada. It doesn't take that long to get to the Canadian border. But once it goes over the boarder, the USPS has no control over it, and Canadian postal service can be very slow.

When I was buying things on eBay from sellers in USA (I live in Montreal), it would sometimes take 3-4 weeks before it would reach me. The reason is that US Postal Service only delivers to the border customs warehouse. Then a customs agent must get around to inspecting the parcel, the paperwork, and clearing it to enter Canada. This takes time and lots of it if they have a backlog of parcels. Eventually it either gets placed on a Canada Post truck and heads the rest of the way to you, or if there was an issue at customs, they send you a notice stating that the parcel was refused entry and why. For example, if you happened to order a set of brass knuckles or can of mace, they will stop it at the border, then send you a notice stating that the item is prohibited from entering Canada, and you have the choice of contesting the decision, or asking them to destroy it. Note..that is usually the only two options. You do NOT have the option to tell them to send it back to the original sender. I'm sure if whatever you bought is legal to come into Canada, then all you have to worry about is that Canada Post may have to collect duty and/or GST (or in Vancouver HST) from you, and that means Canada Post likely will also add a handling fee and it will arrive at your door COD. Now one thing you may want to do to expedite shipments in the future. I found that if I ask the sender to ship me things via UPS or FEDEX, I might pay a little more for the shipping, but I have less delays at the border because the courier companies have their own private customs brokers, and because they handle the delivery on BOTH sides of the border, there are no surprise shipping and handling fees. Those are all up front. Just a thought.

I ordered a cell phone from ebay. the item was marked as shipped yesterday and he uses usps first class mail international and lives in california, and i live in ottawa canada. approximately how long will it take to be shipped.

It might take a week or two! It must go through customs! Did he fill out a customs form? Ask him for the customs form label number! It can act as a tracking number! They are scanned sometimes!

This is NOT ground shipping ISC Los Angeles CA is the international airport in LA ISC Chicago is the international airoport in chicago so ill say about a week

From anywhere in the U.S. to anywhere in Canada has to go through not only sorting facilities on each side of the border, but also through Canadian Customs. Figure on 10 business days. And it shouldn't be much more from the U.K.
