    Q. What is the average closing cost for a 450,000 dollars purchase with 25% down payment?

The closing fees in Toronto Ontario are huge when it comes to buying a home. Land transfer tax is 4% so for a 450,000 purchase you are going to spend $18,000 just in land transfer fee. The other additional cost will be the legal fees which can go as high as $1500 per deal. So besides the 25% down payment which comes to 112,500 you will pay an additional 20,000 or so for closing costs. Then you have to consider the fact that once you move you will need furniture, appliances etc.

    Q. Budget of furniture in pune?

    Powered by
Hi, i am purchasing a new flat in pune and would like to know whats the average budget of furniture for a 3bhk. since its a new flat, it needs everything - furniture+appliances+modular kitchen+safety grills etc. i know the cost of these things vary depending on many factors such as quality, make, brand and vendor etc, but still would like to know whats the ballpark number i am looking at. any experienced guidelines in this area would be greatly appreciated (like a better brand/furniturewala etc). thanks!

I got a good link at following location, please check out: http://pune.townlogs.com --> City Discussions

    Q. I need a list of the largest/most purchases an average person makes in their lifetime?

    Powered by
Home, auto, furniture.... what else and in order would help as well! the more info the better!! i am sorry i meant to say largest and most expensive purchases....

Home (one purchase is enough to make a largest purchase) Auto(and average of 3 cars in the life time is second in place) furniture(unless ur a interior designer freak) small home appliance(most depend on warranty eg: microwave, grinder, coffee make, toaster, may be 3-4 times or more i dont know i have been using my appliances from 4 years now and havent replaced them yet) large home appliance(depends on warranty) clothes(a woman purchases more clothes then a man so depending on how trendy she/ he is the more is the expenditure per year may be this should be third on the list) food home cleaning stuff personal hygine stuff shoes insurance (health, auto and home insurance/month) i have listed pretty much i can think of.

    Q. Purchasing furniture (yikes)?

    Powered by
I have spent most of the day shopping for furniture prices online. during my search i learned that retailers mark up the price of furniture anywhere from 40%-100% that they receive from the manufacturer/supplier. the bedroom suite i'm looking at is $11,000 (this is for 10 pieces) there has to be a way to cut out the middle man and pay thousands of dollars less. i live in greenville, sc which puts me right in the middle of atlanta and charlotte (a hour or so drive each way). travel time from my house to hickory or high point, nc and other furniture towns in nc is about 2-3 hours away. how do retailer get the deep discounts? can you negotiate with furniture stores? could faxing a request for quote to dealers result in better prices? could you make a offer for furniture and see if the retailer will bite? what stops the average joe from calling up the same supplier and buying. there has to be a way to get furniture at cost. any ideas welcomes. thanks.

Yes retailers mark up prices to a ridiculous extent. Here is why I believe they do it. They figure if they sell you say a bedroom set you won't come back for years. Now if they sell a designer a bedroom set for a great price, she will recommend them again and again and keep a constant flow of business coming in. What you need is to befriend an interior designer, and have her do your bidding. When I get products for a lower price, and I mark them up 10% for example my clients sometimes end up getting a savings of 50% from me, then actually purchasing it themselves. Best of luck!

    Q. I need some help with my math questions?

15: the delivery cost on furniture is c=3m+4. m represents how many peices of furniture you purchase. c is the total cost. how much would it cost to deliver 9 peices of furniture? a. $21.00 b. $39.00 c. $31.00 d. $37.00 16: thomas has scored 45 goals in the 12 hockey games this season. his team;s individual scoring record for a 15- game season is 58 goals. which equation can be used to find the number of goals g thomas must average in his last 3 games to tie the record? a. 45-3g =58 b. 45g+3=58 c. 58+3g=45 d. 45+3g=58 17: which equation could model a number in the pattern 34, 31, 28,..? a. 3n-35 = 24 b. 22-37= 4n c. 37-3n= 22 d. 26-4n = 23 i just find these questions damn hard but i need to finish them up for my homework. if you were wondering what grade im in, grade 8. thank you for the last question the n, is anything. it doesnt matter

15: C = 3m (total pieces of furniture which in this case = 9) + 4, so C=(3x9) + 4, so C = 27+4 so C=31 16. 45 (number he has now) + 3g (goals to be scored in the 3 games left) = 58 (record he wants to tie) so the answer is D 17. Can't help you there. The question is not clear. What is n supposed to be? I'm sorry you obviously have a textbook that is unclear...:(

    Q. Is this a reasonable amount to save for planning a baby?

    Powered by
My husband and i are planning on getting pregnant this fall...(oct. 2011). we are obviously going to get health insurance in the mean time... we are also thinking it would be practical to each save $5,000 before we conceive as a nest egg... since i won't be working for at least the first 6 months...is this enough? the $10,000 all together will not be used to purchase baby furniture, as our family will most likely do that! also can you suggest where to buy good deal on diapers? is costco really the only place? what will the average costs be in the first year of this baby's life?

I think it's very responsible and awesome that you and your husband are coming together with a financial plan in place. I love the idea. I think $10,000 is more than plenty. I had my daughter when I was 21. I was basically single at the time.. not living in the same state as the father anymore and absolutely could not find work at all where I was living at the time (I was living in a VERY small community). I was living with my mother, but had WIC to take care of the formula, milk, cereal, etc. I didn't come close to having $10,000 within that year at all. The furniture and everything like you said was pretty much taken care of by family/friends, car seat, stroller as well. I also had tons of clothes, diapers and other necessities from the baby shower. Obviously, I wasn't living lavishly, but I wasn't struggling at all with WIC's help and the things I received from the shower and whatnot. $10,000 will be more than plenty, especially if your husband is working and you plan on going back within 6 months. Costco, Sam's Club and BJ's are all good big-bargain stores. Also, sign up online for coupons with Huggies, Pampers, Babies 'R' Us, Similac (or whatever formula you choose to use IF you decide to bottle-feed) and any other baby sites that would be relevant. You get coupons sent to you in the mail often, coupons for free formula once in a while, etc. Your baby sounds like he/she will be in great hands. I wish you two the best trying, and good luck with everything!

    Q. How much should i sell this bedroom set for?

    Powered by
It is a children's bedroom set, but pretty average size furniture. the style is a medium stained wood, 3 piece set (bed, desk, and dresser). the bed is a half loft, twin size (mattress and box spring not included). the desk is fairly large, one piece, 3 side drawers, 1 desk drawer, and a shelf above the desk. the dresser is waist high, with 6 drawers, and a detachable mirror. the condition on a scale from 1 - 10 (10 being the best), i would rate it a 6 or 7. it was originally purchased about 1992. the purchased price is unknown.

Hello there. I would guess you might hope to get $200.00 for it. But you want to get the most possible. Ask $300.00 and if someone offers you less, you can still get the $200.00. People like to think they are getting a bargain... and should then be happy to pay $200.00. Thanks for reading. :))
