Q. How much welfare can you get for a single mother ontario?

I am a single mother with 2 children, my 1st is 15 months and my 2nd is 4 months. I am looking to apply to assistance as I can not return to work. Does anyone know what a single mother would get on assistance with 2 depend ants under 18?

Someone said: a single mother with 2 dependants does not get much they give you the absolute minimum. Aroung $800 is what you would be entitled to but if you are receiving child support they will deduct whatever you get from that amount, It's not enough to live on and provide nicely for your children. There are a few other benefits you can get like moving expenses, furniture allowance and clothing allowance some times it depends on whether you lucked out and got a worker that is willing to help you out.

Someone said: You will receive exactly $.1000 plus $100 transportation, plus $750 child tax benefit. ($370 each child).
