Please assist me as i am moving with my wife and a baby to edmonton from ontario. my job is located in downtown (edmonton). i have no clue about the city surrounding and nor i know anyone. i will be relying on public transit. i need your assistance in guiding me which are the best neighbourhoods (in terms of safety and accessibility to public transit and shopping area). i will be renting in edmonton. also if you can describe as during my search most of places on rent are listed as - prices subject to change without notice. does that mean they can increase the rent at anytime without notifying. is there a certain percentage of monthly rent they can increase. since there are no rental control in alberta. if you can giv me a clear picture will be greatly appreciated. thank you to all for their support.

I think you should cheack out Forest/terrace heights, ottwell, capilano, kenilwearth, hardisty area. You can take the 1 downtown, and there are many schools near by like terrace heights, hardisty, st gabriels (elementary). Hardisty, ottwell, saint kevins, kenilwearth(junior high) and mcnally and possibly eastglen for highschool as well as austin o brian. There's hardisty pool, Bonnie doon mall and capilano mall near by. Both malls have safeways. Bonnie doon is a better one though. Many busses will take you downtown and from there you can get to pretty much any part of the city. Sorry for spelling mistakes. I'm on an iPhone and I'm typing really fast. Have a safe move.
