    Q. Which is better to become chartered accountant or a doctor?

i think it depends on the field of study that you like. If you like Biology then you must go for medicine. but if you like to play with numbers then go for Accountancy. Both of require hard work.
Someone said: oh ok. But what if you are confused??
Someone said: it always was my dream to become a doctor. But I dont know whether I would be able to see blood everyday.

    Q. Which do you see as the best career, lawyer, civil engineer, chartered accountant, or pharmasist?

    Powered by
According to salary, stress level, years of schooling, difficulty of schooling, and future outlook. could you rank them also. thank you very much!!

"Chartered accoutant is good too and one in which i'm working on now..."

Pharmacist. I worked in a pharmacy and loved it. There wasn't anything I didn't like about it. Chartered accoutant is good too and one in which I'm working on now. I tried to get into pharmacy school but it's a lot more competitive now. I was a little late.

    This answer closely relates to:
    • Engineer wanting to become a accoutant
      • How much does accoutant make in dubai?
      • How much an accoutant earn in ontario?

    Q. Can i be a civil engineer and a chartered accountant at the same time? pleeeeeeeeeeeease answer. i beg to you?

If i get a bachelors degree in civil engineering and then go on to do chartered accountancy, will i be qualified for both the jobs. what i mean is that, suppose that i am working as a chartered accountant for a company and suddenly the company shuts down and i lose my job but then i see another well paid job for a civil engineer and i decide to do it. the question is 'will i be able to?' please answer. thank you

"And would most likely have no experience in civil engineering..."

Yes, of course you will. You may be disadvantaged compared to others in that field since you've worked in accountancy, and would most likely have no experience in civil engineering. It would be possible to get into it, but don't expect to get it at an equal level as you were with accountancy, and don't expect to be treated as well as others who have just graduated and have had relevant experience in the field.

    This answer closely relates to:
    • Civil engineer want to be accountant
      • Which is more difficult doctor or engineer or chartered accountancy?
      • How much you can earn in vancouver with civil engineering?

    Q. What is the best career, civil engineer, mechanical engineer, pharmasist, chartered accountant or lawyer?

    Powered by
Considering salary, enjoyment, years and difficulty of schooling, and future outlook!

"There is a big demand for engineer..."

There is a big demand for engineer, and depending on your interest, you could either hate them or love them. School for engineering is quite competitive. Pharmacists make GOOD money, but school is hard and I'm not sure if it is an enjoyable job. Lawyer, if you like speaking and arguing and politics, this may be your profession. Accounting I read somewhere makes tons, but it can be a very dissatisfying job. Just choose what you LiKE, and it will make your life more enjoyable, and whatever you pursue (if you have a passion for it) you can make money. Good Luck! P.S. Go to www.collegeboard.com and look up the careers/majors to research some more.

    Q. Which the better overall career, pharmasist, civil engineer, or chartered accountant?

"Know too much about civil engineers and chartered accountants but i can definitely give..."

Personally, I would choose a career which I find interesting and will enjoying waking up in the morning to do. All three of these careers seem like they have good paying jobs and a pretty difficult amount of schooling. I don't know too much about civil engineers and chartered accountants but I can definitely give you some good information about pharmacists. First off, there are different fields of Pharmacy. You can become a Clinical Pharmacist, who works directly with doctors and pretty much gives them advice and recommendations about the drugs they should use for certain situations. You will be in a hospital environment obviously, the salary will be very high (not completely sure of exact salary but close to six figures). You can also go into research and development for drug companies which will allow you to work directly with drugs and medicine. Also a good paying job, close if not tops six figures. There are also retail and hospital outpatient pharmacists, which are pretty much the same. The retail pharmacists work in retail settings like Walgreens, CVS, Rite-aid, and other shopping chains. Hospital outpatient pharmacists work in a hospital setting. They pretty much dispense the drugs to patients, answer any questions customers may have about certain drugs, and make sure the prescriptions are correct so nothing wrong happens. I know for a fact that these Pharmacists start off with about 90,000 a year and make their way into six figures. Obviously, each of these fields will require a PharmD and a liscence to practice pharmacy, which is four years of Pharmacy School and taking a test at the end. Because of the high competition for health care related jobs, Pharmacy School is VERY competitive and in some cases, even harder to get into than Med School. It is challenging and very difficult but if you manage to get through Pharmacy School, the opportunities will be endless, which brings me to the next section. The job outlook for Pharmacists is very good because of the rise of demand for health care professions. As the baby boomer population ages and becomes older, so will the need for health care. Jobs will come easily and they will be secure. Sorry for the long post lol... I just like talking about Pharmacy I guess :/ I kinda wanted to post the Pros and Cons to retail pharmacy and a hospital pharmacy but this is pretty long so I will stop. E-mail me if you want it or if you have any questions. Good luck with your decision!

    Q. In todays day and age which of the following jobs would be the best, civil engineer or chartered accountant?

    "A chartered accountant does..."

Best in terms of what? Money? - about the same. Prestige? - about the same. Difficulty in education? - Civil engineer is easier because you don't need post grad quals - good to have - but you don't need them. A chartered accountant does. Eventual progression to management? - about the same. Overall? - about the same. Thanks Bill

    Q. Which of these careers has the best future, lawyer, engineer - civil/electrical, or chartered accountant?

    Powered by

    "Being an accountant myself..."

Those are all wonderful careers. Each of them has a future. Look at technology and how far it has brought us. We will always need attorneys. They will help write new laws, rules, regulations, contracts, real estate deals, and on and on. Engineers will be needed to design all facets of everything from the infrastructure to space structures. And, being an accountant myself, we, as accountants will be needed to keep track of everything financially. Any of these professions is going to be needed for a very long time and each of them has a definitive future.

    Q. Which is best ca(chartered accountant) or civil engineering..?

    Powered by
I have already doing my 12grade exams and waiting for result.. which have much scope...

"I am a chemical engineer and if i were in your place..."

Both are different. Both have own scopes in future. You can be successful and go up in each field. But what will be suitable for you will depend upon your interest and aptitude and personality. I am a chemical engineer and if I were in your place, I would have selected Civil engineering over CA.

"If you worked as a chartered accountant say 10 years before you..."

Same answer as before..... I am sure you asked this before and this is the answer that I gave. This is getting to be one of my pet hates on here - people asking the same question again, and again and again..... No reason why you can't do that. However - and there often is a however with these questions.... If you worked as a chartered accountant say 10 years before you decide to work as a civil engineer a few things will happen. In 10 years as a chartered accountant you will have passed your Professional exams and this means that you will be earning quite good money. Now go to be a graduate civil engineer (no experience so you start at the bottom of the rung again), your take home pay will drop quite a bit (over £10k). You might struggle to actually get jobs - a look at your CV will show that you are an accountant and engineering firms will probably want an engineer with engineering more at the front of their mind. Certainly it is possible. However a better course of action might be to decide which you want to do first and train for that, work at that until you want to change and then spend the 3 or 4 years re-training. That way you will have the engineering knowledge in the front of your mind and be able to sell yourself better. Now as for getting a well paid civil engineering job as a new graduate.... that is another thing and quite a rare job to find - you start at the bottom with all careers until you get experience to earn more money. When I have read your multiple identical questions - you were looking for jobs that paid £100k after a while - neither will do that unless you are the best. £25k is a bit on the high side for a starting salary for both - £20k might be a more realistic proposition

    Q. Do you think i could be a chartered accountant and an engineer at the same time? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease answer?

If i do a degree for chemical or civil or any other engineering and then decide to do the exams to become a chartered accountant and i pass and become one, will i still be a qualified engineer. what i mean is that if i lost my job as a chartered accountant can i get a job as an engineer just like any other person who has a degree in engineering. thanks please answer.

"6 on top of that for an accountant..."

Well a degree will take you at least 3 years add another 6 on top of that for an Accountant , you will be too old to get a job. What you are asking is not practicable.
