    Q. My finacee and i are looking to move out together, with her good credit and my poor credit, is it possible?

    Powered by
My fiancee and i would like to rent a place together. she has excellent credit and an excellent job. in contrast, i have poor credit and i am self employeed. in searching for a place, we are always being asked to fill out 2 credit applications. is there a way to handle this? we are hoping that the lease can be in her name, but is it common for all occupants to fill out a credit application?

"If she has such good credit and good job why doesn't she..."

If she has such good credit and good job why doesn't she try to buy a home or apartment instead of renting? She would have her name on the deed at first and in the future you can add your name. My sister and I purchased a home in 98. I was the only one with good credit so the deed and mortgage were in my name. A few years later I added her on the deed. It's a very wise investment! Think about it. Good Luck.

    Q. Will this help us get more money?

My fiancee and i are looking to buy a house. we currently rent an apartment. my fiancee has excellent credit, and has been pre-approved for 150,000 on his own. if we use my income (which is about the same as his) and credit score (which is poor ... like in the 500's), will we be approved for more money?

"And raise the interest rate if your credit is that bad..."

No, they will lower the amount and raise the interest rate if your credit is that bad . Why would you want to buy a house that will strap you to make the payments on?

yes, but because of you poor credit score, it would probably be around 10k. Talk to a mortgage banker and explain your situation, they'll be able to help you.
