I ordered some chinese traditional clothes for halloween from a taobao agent and they shipped the item on sep 26. i believe they are shipping via china airmail. track-chinapost.com tells me that it has passed china customs on the 29th and there is no more info on it. here's what usps tracking says: processed through sort facility september 29, 2011, 4:02 am shanghai, china peoples rep registered mail™ acceptance september 26, 2011, 3:50 am china peoples rep the status has not changed since the 29th and it is now the 5th of october. is this normal? does this mean that it's on its way or is it just sitting in the sort facility in china? when will i get my package? i live in illinois, usa.

It's National holiday in China from October 1 - 7, 2011. If your tracking number is RAXXXXXXXXXCN then your parcel was sent via China registered mail which means it was Air mail and not surface/sea mail. Usually, Registered Air Mail Delivery Time from China to US will take between 10 - 21 days but sometimes more... After your parcel left china, it will take approximately 3-6 days before USPS update the shipment status. Based on your status, your package is either on it's way to the States or it is still in their sort facility.
