    Q. Bc/bs sent a check to me instead of my provider. can i use the money and pay them later?

    Powered by
I'm no longer covered by bc/bs. they sent a check to me for an out of network service. it's for an ambulance ride. i really need money now. the paper from bc said it is my responsibility to pay the provider they don't do it. i have to pay my property tax or they are going to sell my home. can i use the money and make payments to the ambulance company. i don't want to get jail time or anything like that. i'm desperate.

I would say that if the check is made payable to you, you can do whatever you want with the money. You know your responsibility to the ambulance company, and you know that expense has to be paid. You should contact the ambulance company and let them know you'll be making payments to them. Good luck!

    Q. If you are selling your house doing a private party sale ie: between you and the person..?

    Powered by
You writing up the contract and they agree and sign it and you made a mistake and forgot to add something and inform that person and they agree its ok to revise the contract to say what you forgot to say can they refuse to sign it later? here's what happened this person was a friend of my husbands he had a fire in his apt and it was deemed unsafe and had literally 3 days to find somewhere else to live, we were living in a bigger house cuz the first one my husband bought was too small for our growing family. so he offered to let him do a rent to own deal on it. so i quickly wrote up a contract. did not do any research on the subject and we figured since he was in desperate need and we were all friends this would work.. wrong! him and his wife split up a few months ago and we are friends with her and he turned against my husband saying he was sleeping with his wife or trying to and all of a sudden hes just his co-worker instead of his friend.. we have never tried doing any thing against him. what happened between him and his wife is completely separate from this house sale. he was 11 days late on his rent and we charged him with late fees which any landlord/bank would do in simular situations. he then told his soon to be ex she put us up to charging him and that he was only 5 days late. she knows nothing about whats going on because its none of her buisness she only asked when she was accused of puting us up to it. well we went online and found a site that does iowa law based contracts and we did one of thoes (ours was not far from the iowa law contract just a few minor details we didnt add) we took it to him on nov 2nd as well as the reciepts for the house insurance and property tax we paid for him because they were due and we knew he hadnt been able to work due to not being able to pay his kids daycare ( we were being nice altho he had said terrible things about my husband) and told him he could pay us back. he told us he would have the money the next week and would look over the contract. all week my husband tried contacting him. he responded with a few texts and told him he was having his dhs appointed lawyer look it over bc he didnt understand it. my husband said it needed to be signed by friday and we need the money then also because thats what he promised. several attempts later he was told a diffrent story that dhs told him to have his lawyer look it over because it involved his child! he is now saying he is just paying the house insurance to be nice altho he was told he had to pay it like any bank would have him do also.. my question is can he refuse to sign and not pay and can we kick him out if he dont? if you are going to be rude and critizize us for writing the contract ourselves do not give your oppinion we were just trying to help a friend.. any positive feedback or websites that will help are gladly appreciated thanks! at the time my husband and i were not married.. i signed as witness that he read and understood.. his wife was not "allowed" to sign because he is weird and controlling.. but thats another story lol we are now getting a lawyer because he is refusing to sign and pay us. thanks!

"He would be required to pay taxes and insurance as he is now..."

You basically have a contract of sale signed by all parties involved, I hope both you and your husband as well as his wife signed the contract. The one thing you can not do is change the original contract by replacing it with a new contract. The original contract might be amended with certain things that you might want to add to the original contract. You have a great idea that you might want to take a step further. Since you are currently acting as the lender you might would want to take your signed contract to a license escrow closing agent also utilize a tile company and sell him the house out right. The closing agent would prepare Escrow Instructions based on your contract. You would also be able to charge interest rate, he would be required to pay taxes and insurance as he is now. You would be able to close the transaction through a licensed escrow closing agent that would insure all local, state and federal laws have been complied with. If he is married his wife would have to sign the deed. If she would not want a part of the transaction then she would sign off indicating she did not want any part of this transaction. Failure on his part not to pay the mortgage (Not rent) would put you in a position to hire a company to foreclose on him for non payment of the mortgage. There are fees for using a escrow closing agent as well as a title company to transfer the title to the new owner. You would not have to pay off your existing mortgage, just make sure that you send the required monthly mortgage to them each month even if you do not receive your mortgage from him. This is called owner finance and is done daily by those smart enough to understand this concept of selling their home. The escrow closing agent and title company would do approximately 90% of the work, just follow their instructions. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. "FIGHT ON"

    This answer closely relates to:
    • Late bc property taxes
      • What happens when pass closing date and nonew contract is signed?
      • What if we don t close escrow by the date on the contract?

    Q. Should i snitch on a cheater?

    Powered by
I tried so hard for my ancient rome economy essay ( 13 years old) and my social studies teacher said it was good but she reduced my marks because she assumed i copied and pasted. now, another girl in my class who did copy and paste, ( which i saw and she admitted openly) got a higher mark than me. should i tell the teacher for what she has done? i got 17/20 and i know i should be happy with this but it doesnt feel right because it wasnt her own. if it was i wouldnt compare at all. she got 19/20. this is my assignment ( dont have to read it ! lol) the economy of the early republic was primarily focused on farming and trading. agricultural trading developed in italy and by the 1st century bc a diversity of olives and grapes was produced. while north africa supplied a variety of grains the roman’s main exports were olive oil and wine. ancient rome was a slave based society whose main concern was to feed the immense population of citizens. farmers donated financial tax to the government allowing both the republican and imperial leaders to gain popularity as well as being able to feed the people at no monetary cost. unfortunately this left the farmers with little incentive to produce more crops as producing more crops translated to paying more taxes. while the transportation of foods controlled the trading production there was also a vast exchange of other goods including farm products, livestock, silk from china, wild animals from africa and many more from all parts of europe, asia and africa. the currency of the republic consisted of coins including the aureus, (gold) denarius, (silver) sestertius (bronze) and dupondius (copper). they were used from approximately the middle of the third century bc until the third century ad. the coins circulated throughout the empire and even beyond – some being found in india. the value of a single, copper coin was equivalent to a pound of copper only weighing less. the imagery of the coins only became of an importance when julius caesar beared his own portrait on coins. julius was the first living individual to have his portrait issued on the coins, prior to that, it was with the portraits of ancestors. the exact reason the roman coinage system debased constantly is unknown but common theories involve trading with india. the largest industry in ancient rome was mining, which provided large stones for large building developments, weapons and tools that conquered the ancient west. italy provided marble for the structures. cities and towns established pottery, glassware, weapons, tools and jewellery. for military and transportations use, the romans became skilled at constructing roads. they were necessary for their empire, as roads allowed the army to move rapidly, as well as transporting cattle and vehicles. the roads expanded to over 400,000km over the years, were created such as; vehicles were forbidden in urban areas except for the exception of married women and business men. trade by land was only convenient if good were being transported in short distances, sometimes hauled by labour slaves. most large goods such as foods, metals, stone and building supplies were shipped. the roman navy, under augustus was in threat as the severe weather, imprecise charts and bad navigation equipment could wreck on the voyage. yet, despite the dangers, there was no better way trading cargo than by sea. the foundation of slavery in ancient rome covered up to 20% of the entire population (no less than 53,000 people). those held in this position were less of a person in the legal system and weren’t entitled to marry. a slave’s price varied on their capability and skills. for example a slave trained in medicine was worth 50 agricultural slaves. they were the property of their owners and they yearned for freedom and escape. by the late republic the economy was reliant on slaves for both skilled and unskilled. free citizens of ancient rome were divided into two classes; patricians and plebeians. these two classes were forbidden to intermarry and were categorized into their groups since birth. although not impossible, it was highly difficult for the lower class to emerge into the higher social class. the distinction between the two classes was mainly based on wealth. the man in the family ‘owned’ his family, children and slaves just as he owned his swords and was entitled to control them as he wished. women gained respect from their husbands or son. patricians: •these family groups claimed to be related to the ancestors (romulus himself). •sewed a purple stripe down their tunics to show their significance. •large land owners. •large banquets for dinner. •wealthy higher class. •each family member obtains individual rooms. plebians: •working class of rome. •lived in small apartment houses. •no bathrooms – used pots that were thrown out of the window. •cooked meals in public ovens •on

No. All snitches are not liked. You learned, the other student din not. In the long run you will prevail. Excellent report. When your other work shines like this the teacher will realize you are beyond reproach. At least now you know the teacher is watching you… This means your work will be recognized as your own from now on. This means a temporary lower grade will result in an overall higher grade because you have set a high standard for the rest of the class to follow.

    Q. We filed bk..is the escrow money still ours ?

    Powered by
We filed bankruptcy and it went through over a year ago. the foreclosure on the property has also went through. we moved from the propery almost a yr ago as well. we recently received a letter in the mail from the insurance company we had the home owners insurance through saying that they were canceling the premium bc the house is and has been vacant...then a couple days later we received a check from them for the remaining premuim amount for the yr. is this money actully ours to keep ? or should it actully be going back to the mortgage company? i do believe that the escrow account balance was negative..meaning if any insurance or taxes had been paid it would have been the mortgage company that did it...but the check was sent here and made out to us.....i dont want to cash and spend this money if they are going to be needing it back.

there is literal and practical. YOU did not volunteer the amount of the check. at least, you paid the insurance premiums no one else did. For that reason, not knowing other things, I would say the money is yours. and you did not fill out bogus docs to get it. KEEP it.
