    Q. Do banks finance private deals like for sale by owner?

"Bank do finance for sale by owner deals in canada but they might..."

Bank do finance For Sale By Owner deals in Canada but they might ask you for an appraisal before committing for a mortgage. When the bank does a regular deal the loan officer will ask for MLS listing printout to see the price of the property and even if the home was listed on the MLS but the price for the area is higher then normal the bank might ask for home appraisal as well.

    This answer closely relates to:
    • People died before house sale close
      • Will a bank finance a mortgage if the house is appraised lower than the sale price?
      • Can i finance more if appraisal is higher than asking price?

    Q. Who's side would you be on?

    Powered by
Ok...heres the story...my grandfather and my mother purchased a house about 10 years ago. it's valued at $145,000 today. my grandfather died 9 months ago and my aunt is fighting for half of his estate. here's the tricky part. the only people that are on the deed are my mom and grandpa. because of texas law my aunt is partial owner since she is the next of kin. can she fight for half of his estate even though my grandfather didn't leave a will? my grandfather sat my mom and my aunt before he died and strictly said that 50% of the house is automatically my mom's since her name is on the deed. my grandfathers 50% said that it would go to my brother. they both (my mom and aunt) agreed to it. well, my grandfather dies the day before thanksgiving and slaps my mom with a lawsuit saying that she owns part of that house since my grandpa died. my aunt has always been greedy and this time i think she has gone to far. we (my family) have been battling this for 9 months. then my aunt sends my mom a letter saying that she will pay my mother $58,000 for the house. the house is valued at $145,000 and it's in a decent middle-class neighborhood where other brand new houses are being built. i would say that on average, a house in that neighborhood would sale close to $250,000. my mother and i think that my aunt is bi-polar and she is just money hungry. are we wrong for thinking this? oh to mention, my grandpa lived with us for 10 years and my mother took care of him day in and day out. my aunt doesn't even live a block away and when she would visit him, 15 minutes was too much for her. she always went shopping or claimed that she was sick. what do you think?

Yes you Aunt sounds greedy, if there wasn't a will then your Mom should be able to fight it. Get a good Lawyer and go for it, I would if I was in your shoes. :o)

    Q. I don't want my grandma's house to get knocked down...?

    Powered by
(nothing to do with polls and surveys but i get good answers here... yes, so, i don't want it to get knocked down, neither does my grandma. she own a terrace house in a row of five. over the years, a lady bought the other four, but couldn't get my grandma's. she died in 2007 and then the family of this lady sold the four houses (it looked kind of stupid, house for sale, house for sale, house for sale, house not for sale, house for sale). a developer bought them and tried to talk my grandma into giving her house over in return for two apartments, which he will build. she had no other option, she was literally being kicked out of her first home, the one she's had for forty years. she moved out about six months ago and is living in my uncle's house (not his home, but a house he owns for rent). she rented the place out to some people for six months. when they had moved out, i went with her to see it for the last time. the whole terrace was dilapidated, dirt, broken plasterboard on the house next door, she used to have a lovely garden and it has all been wrecked. she started crying, but tried to hide it. it's a beautiful victorian house and what gives anyone the right to take it away from her. houses have 3 stages in their life. 1) wow, beautiful, big, new modern (new houses today) 2) disgusting, old, (houses built in the 70's) 3) beautiful and full of character.(houses built <1960) this whole terrace has gone past the 2 stages and now it's up to the 3rd stage. it's going to take at least 50 years for this new apartment block to come to stage three. i can just imagine, in the future, there will be something on these terraces stating... 'these beautiful homes, demolished in 2010, and replaced with an ugly 2010 apartment block, why didn't someone stop them?' the house next door to it has been knocked down and huge cracks appeared in the wall, the window frames were falling out of place, the floorboards were creaking everywhere. i remember the top panel of the one of the sash windows have fallen down, so i pulled it back up, locked it, walked out of the room, looked at the room for one last time, then closed the beautiful four panelled door. i will never forget that, i walked under the arch in the hallway towards the front door, looked back at the arch with my grandma, then locked the door. no one in my family wants it to get knocked down, except my dad, but the owner of the house doesn't, is that all that matters? she had the option of keeping her house but it would look really stupid, having apartments either side of it. how can we look at it in a positive way? (sorry for being long) are you serious, a 14 year old buying a new house... if you insist.

I don't understand what you are asking.

    Q. Can over-due medical bills keep you from receiving profit from house?

    Powered by
We have a house that we are currently in the final stages of closing on, and today, the closing company informed us that due to a 15,000 unpaid medical bill from 2001, we will be unable to receive the money from the sale unless we pay it, the bill is not even the owner's, its her son's, his name is in the deed i think because when his father died, he left the house split between his wife and children. in any case, is an unpaid bill like this supposed to be dealt with this way? i've never heard of something like that and it seems unjust, thanks for your help

There is a lien on the property, the son must be a dead beat and refused to pay it. This is how they are paid, they were left with no other options.

    Q. Is this a jet ski scam?

    Powered by
Need help deciding if this is a scam or not. any help would be appreciated! thank you hello, thank you for your interest in purchasing my 2 jet skis with trailer. the 2 jet skis is in perfect working condition, garage kept, with nothing mechanically wrong - like new! if you decide to buy it, you'll receive all the papers, owner manual, keys, a buy-sell contract already signed by me. for this transaction i want to use yahoo autos because i want to have a smooth and fast transaction . the 2 jet skis is at the shipping company warehouse in new york, ny and from there it will be shipped to buyer's address. you will have to make the payment to yahoo autos and they will hold the money until you receive the 2 jet skis. only after you receive the 2 jet skis and you inspect it (for 5 days) they will release the payment to me. the inspection time period will begin as soon as you receive the 2 jet skis at your requested address. during all this time yahoo autos will hold the money into a trust account. so, this is not a blind transaction, you can see the 2 jet skis before decided to buy it. in this way we are both protected. the final price is $2,900 with shipping costs and insurance included. the price is low because i want to sell the 2 jet skis very quickly. my husband died 2 months ago and i along with my daughter we decided to sell the house and move to my sister in brooklyn, ny. i can't afford to take days off my work for this sale so i'm trying to sell it online. if you are really interested in purchasing the 2 jet skis please send me your full name, shipping address and your phone number. yahoo autos will notify you all the details about the shipping and payment. i will appreciate an answer as soon as possible . best regards! karen newell p.s.: below you will find a full desription and the pictures i have taken for this sale. please take a closer look before you decide. 2007 seadoo rxp and rxt both in excellent running condition. the rxp is a 2 seater and has only 100 hrs and the rxt is a 3 seater and has only 96 hrs. they have 215 hp supercharged four-stroke, three-cylinder rotax™ sohc with inter cooler, closed-loop cooling. i have a stage 1 riva kit on the rxp. i just had both impellers redone. i also did a complete service to both skis(receipt will be given with sale).i purchased these skis from the dealer and i am the original owner both skis have been garage kept, blown out every time i took hem for a ride, and winterized every winter. they both run very fast and can get up to 67 -72 mph. the hulls are in great condition.the trailer is a karavan trailer it also has been serviced. the trailer and the 2 skis are included in this sale.

It's a total SCAM. The price is way too low for the two PWC's with a trailer. You never buy anything without seeing the item, and if the seller is absent, it's because they do not want to be identified. If you never see the sellers face, you can't give a description of a person for Law Enforcement to look for. I've seen this same SCAM run all the time on Craigslist and a couple of other sites too. It's all fake, so don't believe anything in the ad.

    Q. So, i have the strangest dreams...?

    Powered by
I always have nightmares. they never really bother me, but sometimes i wake up wondering why the hell my subconscious came up with something like that. such a dream occurred last night: so, i heard about this house for sale, which wouldn't have been anything too intriguing if there hadn't been eight separate owners in the past year, all left in a hurry. people said the house was haunted and, being a sort of skeptical believer, wanted to see it for myself. they assembled in the house all the people who had lived there in the past ten years (although a relative few actually agreed to come. none from the past year) and many more people who were simply curious. all of the owners introduced themselves with rigid, uneasy smiles and seemed pleasant enough until someone brought out a stack of photographs tied with a sheer ribbon into a sort of flip-book and handed them to me. at that point, all the owners began demanding that no one touched, looked at, or even thought about the pictures. none of us saw what the big deal was. they were just pictures of darkness, as far as any of us could tell. the owners proceeded to tell us, each in their own turn, that the pictures were possessed (or something of that sort). one guy decided to test this for himself. he said, "all right. if these pictures are really possessed, then they should have no problem proving it. what's my name?" fog slowly rolled into the blackness of the top picture and spelled out, "it doesn't matter. you'll be dead soon." dumbfounded, i flipped to the next picture. it now contained the face of the man who'd been talking, mimicking the shocked expression that was still frozen on his face. i proceeded through the flip-book, which now contained a horrific sequence of how this man was to die, right in this very house. (i don't remember exactly, but i remember small, dark figures and a lot of blood.) i tried to start back from the beginning to study it further, but the pictures had changed again, this time to a horrified expression of each of the faces in attendance (even some animals), supposedly their reaction to the scene they were to witness. one old woman solemnly explained that the pictures wouldn't give you a nightmare unless you asked for one, but once you'd seen what they had in store for you, it was too late to do anything about it. the events would unfold just as they'd shown they would. my father then appeared beside me (which is strange, because people close to me are never in my dreams. typically, it's only acquaintances and faces from my imagination. does anyone know why that means, while we're on the topic?) and told me something to the effect of a warning or reassurance, though over the course of typing this, i've forgotten exactly what it was. that's as much as i remember before i woke up. anyway... any clues? haha, thanks. i know it's normal to have weird dreams. i kind of always do. i just found this one particularly intricate and interesting. and, as much as i love street fighter, i was really just trying to figure out what my dream meant if it meant anything.

It's normal to have weird dreams. Last night I had a dream that I was fighting with Ryu from Street Fighter in a McDonalds.

    Q. Should i let go of my dream and move on?

    Powered by
Just wondering if you where me would you stay or go? in 2006 in texas i had a spiritual awakening..i had been fasting from media, food, water, and sleep...and starting speaking in tongues on the 7th day and had a vision of a house with nome's and fairies and and a labyrinth and merlin the wizard had came to visit me with a white owl and told me that if i connected the past with the present that i would build a spiritual retreat that my family would teach at. merlin told me about terah dying in haran and how my family was connected to abraham in the bible. our last name is teran. the visions went on for hours. i went to my husband and he at the time thought i had gone mad. this was the first time i had ever fasted and i did it on my own so i thought this is what happened to everyone. i tried to go to the library and research this after it happened and found no answers. i let it go and 3 years had passed and one night at 2 am i was awakened by a voice that told me to look up our last name teran on google and go to page 6 on there i found a website called talk to teran. i got goose bumps from head to toe. the owners of the website had a spiritual retreat for sale called circle of teran in ashland oregon. they had just built it a few years before. on the property the have a labyrinth like the one i had in my vision and had a room called merlin's sanctuary with white owls, and a fairy room, all the visions i had where actually a place in ashland oregon. not only was the property named our last name teran but where it is located ashland is my 10 year old daughters name. well her name is ashland which means dream. i was going to name her ashland but at the time of her birth i changed it cause i thought it was corny to have a daughter named ashland and another daughter named ireland. so i did more research on the property that night and found out the property was previously owed by the ireland's and the circle of teran ranch was formerly ireland ranch. i immediately got my husband and showed him all the connections and at that moment he knew everything i had told him 3 years prior was true. he said we are supposed to move there.. so we packed up our 6 kids, the parrot, the dog, the cat, the frogs, the turtles, the ferret, and the snake and set out for ashland oregon in september 2009. we knew it would take some time to get the money together for the property. at the same time that we felt led to this property my husband was placed in front of several big life changing deals. there were two separate partners with several different deals (let's call them partner a and partner b). if just one of these deals were to go through we would have enough to accomplish purchasing the property. so, we moved to oregon on the faith and hope that this was our path. when we get to oregon partner a continues promising us a payout out week after week but it never comes. although, we made the move up to oregon and now are in a position with no steady income, we have reached a critical point. we have ran out of money till the other partner b's deals pay. so we are wondering what to do now? we are currently staying in a extended stay hotel and we have to check out in 2 days do to running out of funds. partner b deals are supposed to pay in 2 weeks. but what is a family of 8 with all these animals supposed to do until then? do i give up on all this and go back to texas? i dont even know how we would get back to texas..we are so close to the finish line but i am so scared of the idea of living in the car.. i dont know who to turn to.. any idea's?? i am 30 years old my husband is 37 and we have 3 daughters ages 13, 10, 5 and 3 sons ages 3 years old and 2 years old and a 11 month old. the property is 14.6 millions dollars.

This is tough, but I would drop the dream and move on
