    Q. What happens if someone missed mortgage payments in canada?

If you miss one mortgage payment nothing will happen if you contact the bank and tell them about your missed payment. In 100% of the cases bank will allow you to make the payment with your next months payment. Or you can get the bank to withdraw it as soon as the funds become available on your checking account. You can do this if the bank where you do daily banking is the same as your lender.

    Q. Father missed first child support payment?

    Powered by
My friend is from canada, and the father of her son is from the states. he has been a dead beat dad, and finally was ordered by the courts to pay support. he already missed his very first one. what happens to ppl who miss support payments in the states? its not a garnishment of wages. he is responsible for getting checks to her, and he is already late in getting the first check to her.

depends on the state. i would have the payments monitored by a third party. some of which will actually take the money out of his paychecks/account for him.

    Q. Is it legal to warrant an arrest for missing a settlement agreement in ontario canada?

    Powered by
A friend of mine had a settlement agreement on monday of this week that he missed. he currently has custody of his two children, and at this point, both he and his ex wife are trying to come to settlement on the support payments and phone access. because he missed this settlement, the judge has written on a piece of court documents that were forwarded to him that failure to show up at the next settlement will be grounds for him to be arrested. is this legal in ontario canada? he is not a criminal, nor does he have a criminal record or probation, etc. thanks. best answer gets 10!

A JUDGE issued it, so obviously it's legal. I can't tell if he missed a court appearance or a payment, but either way, yes, it's legal.

    Q. Keep mom from home schooling?

    Powered by
My x wife is yanking my kids from a great school to home school. this is a problem because both kids want to stay and both will be isolated since neither parent is especially social. my girl has social problems everywhere and needs the support & social structure that her current school provides. she has no friends outside of school except at girl scouts and dancing and i take her there. no kids in the neighborhood. the x is also very distractable and goes from one great solution to another. one job to another. she was sure, two months ago, that the solution was to move to canada and to be a teacher there, tho she had a very short career as a teacher here. she is incredibly undependable. the school is begging to have the kids come back. what are my rights in california as a very reliable, supportive father & ex? never miss visitation, actually, ask for them more than court mandated and never miss support payments, either

Talk to an attorney. Possibly her "flakiness" in structure and stability to stay focused, might help you. Good luck.

    Q. Can i recalculate previous income tax returns?

    Powered by
I recently found out my 64 year old mother has been calculating her own taxes and submitting the filing to revenue canada. her major source of income comes from support payments that come from the fro (family responsibility office). the fro does not deduct any tax and therefore every spring she gets a whopping tax bill and the revenue canada rep that she always gets on the phone threatens slightly less than seizing everything she owns and throwing her in jail unless she pays huge installments to pay it off. i suspect that she may not have been calculating her tax correctly perhaps missing some major deductions. one such deduction is she has a universal life insurance that she pays $200/month for. is this a tax deduction? what are the chances that revenue canada would have caught her miscalculations on there end? finally, what would be the best approach to re-assess the last 7 years? i imagine an income tax specialist but i also imagine their fees would be huge to jump into a case like this, and i wonder if they would have the knowledge to figure it all out. i suspect a lot of the h&r block people are good at dealing with typical same year cases, but do they dive into analyzing past files? i appreciate any advise, thanks.

She (assuming a cdn resident and not a non resident) can file amended tax returns within the past 3 yrs starting from the date of her 3rd last notice of assessment from the Canada Revenue. The 7th years reassessment is from the Canada Revenue for taxpayers involved fraud and misrepresentations. The Canada Recenue will catch all arithmetic miscalculatiions, and some on eligibility. It is your responsibiltiy to claim what you are entitled to. I dont think that the insurance premium is deductible though, because the proceeds from which is not taxable. If money is not a concern to her, HR Block or other tax accountants can review her past files to see if she has filed her returns correctly. If she has few income and deductions, this could be a simple exercise once and for all.

    Q. Uk perspective student visa - being applied for in canada?

    Powered by
I have been looking into the information i need to apply to be a student in the uk for awhile now, and i am still not completely sure about what documents i need. or what steps to take to make this transition as smooth as possible. a bit of information on myself that may be useful in assisting me; i am a mature female student. i am just finishing up a diploma in accounting and business here in canada. i want to receive a degree in business from the uk. i was born and raised in canada. i want to study in wales. i prefer to go to the uk as a perspective student and spend a couple months looking into schools, filling out forms and have all the paperwork for the student visa and my canadian student loan completed there. i have read enough to know that there have been more than a few incidences of false school documents being sent out. i would like to avoid the chance of that happening by being able to visit the school with my documents of acceptance to verify that they are in fact correct. i am not sure if i will be accepted to a university or have to do some schooling at a college my first year or two in the uk. is there different ways to applying to either? the following is what i have sorted out so far. but i am still not certain that it is all correct, in order or missing anything vital. any information and/or help i can get would be wonderful. what do i need to apply for this? 1)a letter from my government stating i am eligible for student loans funding from them, on official letter head? what would this be called? 2)letters from the schools i have contacted in the uk and i am interested in looking closer at, on official letter head? a)what are these called and how old can they be? b)how many schools are we expected to look at while in the uk for the full 6 months? c)is there a minimum amount of schools? 3)original copies of the diploma and certificate i already have, including the documents from uknaric translations to uk scholastic standards? http://www.naric.org.uk/index.asp a)letters of referral from my last school and anyone else that may be applicable, on official letter head? who all would be considered applicable? b)do i need to show my maintenance amounts i have when applying, or can i shown those when i arrive in the uk? 4)i believe that if i have someone in the uk that is allowing me to stay with them during the time i am looking at schools they are considered private sponsors. a)is this true, and if so do they need to show anything? b)or do i need to have papers, letters from them saying that they are supporting me while i am in the uk looking at the schools? c)will it matter later, when i am on a student visa and attending school, if i am renting a room from them at that time? as i would no longer be supported by them, but my student loan that i repay to my government after i have finished my schooling. d)would it be best if i just pay them rent while i am also on my perspective student visa as to not add confusion? 5)biometrics appointment a)booked after i have applied online with uk visa boarders and have confirmation of payment b)take a passport picture with me. do not be late! 6)i believe that all documents cannot be older than a month when i send them in for consideration. is this correct? 7)has anyone here done this from canada? a)how long did it take to hear back the decision? b)to receive your paperwork back? c)i am a bit concerned about sending my passport away and problems with receiving it back? i worry about it getting lost, damaged etc. is there any other documents, letters or information that may be of use for the uk government in making the decision on my perspective student visa? if there are any other suggestions anyone would care to make, i would appreciate it. i am finding this whole process a bit daunting.

Have you read the UK immigration website pertaining to foreign students and study visas? http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/studyingintheuk/student-visitors/ a prospective student can study in UK for no mor than 6 months and then they MUST GO HOME. you cannot extend your prospective student visa you cannot stay in UK past 6 months you cannot work You must have already been approved to study at a higher education institute to get the prospective study visa. You can apply as a student visitor if you are 18 years old or over, you want to come to the United Kingdom to do a course for up to six months, and you do not want to work while you are here. You will not be able to switch and apply for an adult student visa while you are in the United Kingdom as a student visitor. If you want to apply for an adult student visa, you must (go home and) apply from the country you live in. So to answer your question - a prospective student is doing a course of up to 6 months and then they MUST GO HOME and apply for a full adult student visa http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/studyingintheuk/quickguideforstudent/adultstudents/ applying for an adult student visa (for those aged 18 and older) first you apply to a college and be accepted. the college will send you an acceptance form/leter. you send a copy of this, plus your financial mincome proof plus the adult student visa application to the UK address you will need to show that you have enough money to live on and to pay the school tuition fees and books for every year of the course if your documents and money are in order then you should get a student visa and then you can fly back to UK - but you MUST APPLY for this visa from Canada. if you are going to just look at school - then I suggest that you go as a tourist and check out the schools that way. When you find a school that will accept you - then you come back to Canada and apply for an adult student visa and then fly back to UK when the student visa is approved. yes it is expensive but those are the rules. if you do not comply with them, then you do NOT get any student visa.

    Q. Listening to iheart radio when abroad?

    Powered by
Hi i will be going to canada for three days. i want to find a way to listen to iheart radio while i am there. also i have paid for international package on my phone, so i am hoping to see if it is possible to remove restrictions and access to iheart radio anywhere i go abroad by making some payments . is that something that us residents could do? i am a us resident. if it's possible, i would be willing make some payments and take iheart radio wherever i go in other countries. i actually tried to listen to it on my computer when i was abroad. it just could not stream outside of the usa and i do understand that it cannot be aired in other countries unless it is supported to the us armed forces abroad, but i need to make sure that it works when i am in canada.i really love iheart radio. i cannot miss it. i am with at&t on my iphone 4. i downloaded the iheart radio app with us itunes account. so i really need to see if it could just keep working anywhere i go abroad. i have never tried it with an iphone, but i will do that when i leave the us. before i do this, i need to hear from one of you guys who could answer me look forward hearing from you

I listened to my radio station in Alaska, and Canada. I am from Wisconsin. I also listened to it all the way down to Texas from Alaska. On my laptop of course. Good luck. aa

NO legitimate company will EVER hire a person they have never met in person, especially for anything involving financial transactions This is a classic money mule scam - they will send you counterfeit checks/money orders asking you to deposit in YOUR personal banking account then wire money to a third party through Western Union. This is illegal and you can be arrested. If they were a real business, they are required by law to process all financial transactions through a merchant banking account that only a corporate officer has access to. By using your personal account, YOU are the one committing tax fraud, bank fraud, and if the money you wire is picked up overseas, felony money laundering DO NOT EVER give your home address to anyone you have never met in person Here is the REAL Fisk Techology website http://www.fiskcorp.com/technology-contacts.htm I can guarantee if you call them they will confirm they did NOT offer you any job and that scammers are falsely using their name Also read their FAQs on their Careers Page http://www.fiskcorp.com/fisk-careers.htm "If you are called to come in for an interview you will generally meet with the hiring manager and in certain cases, a representative of the Human Resources Department. Certain positions may also require skills testing that will be arranged through the Human Resources Department. If all goes well, you may anticipate meeting with several other individuals before a final hiring decision is made. This may require more than one visit. Of course, a pre-employment background check and drug test is required prior to any offer of employment." -- so if you haven't met with HR and didn't have a background check and drug test it's more proof of a scam Also, the real Fisk director of Human Resources is Darcy Kazanecki - NOT "Fred Gray"
