Search "Schedule of Social Security Benefit Payments 2012" and do the same for 2013 and then print it because it tells you when ALL benefits issued by the social security administration will be paid for the entire year. SSI checks are due on the 1st of every month. Since the 1st is a national holiday the benefit will be paid on December 31st instead. All of the social security benefits (SSI is NOT social security) will be paid when normally due in January. There is no reason to pay them on any other date. The ONLY times benefits are paid earlier than scheduled is when the payday falls on a week-end or national holiday and they are then paid the first workday before. Otherwise benefits are paid when normally scheduled.

My daughter receives social security income for her disability she was shaken by her father back in 2008, this past week i went down to get her redetermeand and they said that they owe her back pay and that i will be getting installments every six months so one now, one in july and the remaining in january 2013, they said that they disbursed the check last thursday so how long before i get it. medical bills are high and she needs a new bed

If it's a paper check it takes anywhere from seven to ten working days from date of input before you receive the check. If direct deposit, three days.

You have to be entitled to Social Security disability benefits for 24 months before becoming entitled to Medicare. If your month of entitlement is January, 2011 then your Medicare will be effective January, 2013. You might want to check with your county's welfare office to see if you are eligible for Medicaid - you might be if your benefit is low enough.

All benefits which were to be paid in December have been paid. The last regularly scheduled social security benefit should have been paid Wednesday, December 27th - which was yesterday. People who are entitled to SSI and who normally receive their benefits on the 1st will receive their January SSI benefit Monday, December 31st since January 1 is a national holiday. I was honest about my employment with the person who did my phone interview but some how the ssa had that i was not employed. i am not eligible to recieve benefits until jan as i was just diagnosed in feb... so will the income i made prior to january- when i technically became eligible- be counted against me? can they approve me and deny me that fast? for january my income is over but i want january to count as a "trial work month". the person i spoke with told me to wait on a letter probably asking for check stubs. starting feb my income will be under 1010- i do not want to go part time banking on the check then get denied

There is no such thing as a trial work month until someone has actually become entitled to, and receiving, benefits. And the trial work period is a concept which applies only to social security disability benefits - not ssi. The date of disability is usually the date a person stops working and earning $1040 a month because of their disability - sometimes the date of disability is a later one when there isn't any medical evidence warranting an earlier date or it is a later one because they aren't insured for social security until a later date. It takes about a year for a person's work activity to show up on social security records. If someone wants credit for their 2012 work activity they need to show social security their W2 forms or their federal tax return if they are self-employed with the Schedules C and SE and proof that they've paid their social security taxes. And yes, a claims rep can take a claim and input the denial on the same date when a person doesn't have the work credits needed to get social security benefits. More than likely they will take a claim for ssi on the same day and will make a medical decision on the ssi as long as income and resources are within acceptable limits. In 2012 a person had to earn $1130 before they got one quarter of coverage. In 2013 a person must earn $1160 in order to get one credit. There is no point in getting proof of wages if those wages aren't going to get a person enough social security credits to be insured. Regarding SSI. No benefits are payable before the month the claim is filed. Half of your earnings over $85 a month will reduce your ssi benefit - if approved. That's the way SSI works because SSI is a welfare benefit and any income a person receives reduces the amount of the ssi benefit. If you are working and earning $1040 a month or more you will not be entitled to benefits because the definition of disability begins with an inability to earn $1040 a month in 2013 (it was $1010 a month before 2013) and the inability must be due to a disability which is expected to last for at least 12 months. If you have been earning $1040 a month or more and you were approved it is possible that they will reopen the approval to a denial. There is a concept which applies to both ssi and SSDI and it is called an unsuccessful work attempt. If someone has been off work for more than 3 months and they return to work and the work ends within 3 months because of the disability and not for any other reason then social security can determine that it is an unsuccessful work attempt and it isn't counted when making the decision of disability. Social Security has to verify with the employer the reason why work ended. The income will still count in figuring the monthly ssi benefit payable but it won't count for anything else.

My survivors benifits are supposed to be up in june so since they send the checks the month after will i recieve in july for june

SSI and suvivors benefits are two different programs - SSI is welfare. Suvivors SS is paid the month after you earn it. June check comes in July. I filed in january 2013 i had my c&p exam november 11th '13 they say its in the development stage... my c&p examiner said i'll receive my decision in a month or so. can i trust what he said? i also was told 3 months and also was told it could take 199+ days? i just need something to give me peace of mind.. also my claim is for ptsd i haven't worked and have been homeless for over four years what are the chances it'll be 100% disabled?

I know people who have gotten it within a few months but most it has taken over 1 or more years. Even a few that it took over 2 years to get done in the end. It will though be backdated to the date you were eligible for it so you can receive a nice check
