I've done some research and the sort facility in richmond ca has not been sending out mail. i ordered 2 packages 1 from hollister and the other from walmart and the trackig info has been stuck at "delivered to richmond ca" for the past 3 weeks. i'm worried i might not get my mail. does anyone know why this facility has been acting so poorly or why it's still operating?

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried where their package departed the usps sort facility and it never came for nearly a month. i recently ordered an item and it departed the usps sort facility in richmond, va on 8/17/2012 and still hasn't arrived as of 9/10/2012, almost a month. i live in the pacific region, in the cnmi a u.s. territory but was wondering if it sometimes takes this long to deliver? much help is appreciated. thanks!

I have 3 packages that are still in richmond, ca since last month, all packages were accepted and were supposed to be here in hilo, hawaii by the beginning of this february. none has come at all and are still stuck in the usps sort facility, how do i contact them? it has been stuck there way to long.

It's been there for 2 days and now i am angry because it's my ipad otter box that's 100$ i am worrying that it will just be a wasteland the sad part is its only 30 minutes away from my house...

The shipper mailed out the package on june 06 & was processed through the sort facility in richmond, ca on june 07. does anyone know how long more i have to wait? also is parcel post trackable or is it just confirmation of delivery?

Parcel post via the postal service will usually take upwards of a full 30 days once it departs port in California . It comes via ship. A slow one. There can also be extra delivery time to get to California, and to get to destinations on the outer islands (like Maui) once it gets to Hawaii / Honolulu. Parcel post can be trackable if the shipper purchased delivery confirmation at an extra charge. It usually doesn't get updated en route, however -- only when delivered. And when it's coming to Hawaii by ship, there wouldn't be any updates to get, anyway. You might be able to at least see when it enters Hawaii. Anyway, you should allow at LEAST until July 7 to start realistically expecting your package. If it arrives earlier, you lucked out. Parcel post is usually not worth it when shipping to Hawaii. The time delay and likelihood of damage are too great for the savings. It really only makes sense if you're shipping things that are really heavy that you can wait a loooooong time for. And if someone was shipping to you off of Ebay, for example, you're probably going to have a case for non-receipt of items in a timely manner unless you clearly agreed to parcel post in advance. Soooo.... do be braced for the end of July. Seriously. But almost certainly after the 4th, regardless.

I have a pm package i mailed with sc service. i mailed it to washington, dc. as of today, i am seeing the last scan as: "depart usps sort facility, bethpage, ny 11714". are washington, dc packages supposed to go to new york? coincidentially, the street name is new york avenue. anybody work for bethpage usps facility that can provide more info? 20 pts if your answer is helpful.

Yes, that is a normal path for packages to travel. There simply is not enough business for packages from Bethpage, NY alone to be trucked directly to Washington, DC. Don't be surprised when it next goes to a service center in Baltimore, MD or Richmond, VA.

I have made an order and i found my is address written wrongly 6 days after making the order tracked my item and it says : processed at usps origin sort facility sep-28-12, 12:12 pm, chicago, il 60666 dispatched to sort facility sep-27-12, 17:47 pm, richmond, in 47374 i've informed the seller a few minutes ago , do you think that he can get my shipping address correct ? or it is too late for him to correct the shipping address and he has to resend the package after the item is returned to him?

He'll need to resend after it gets returned. You'll need to pay for shipping again if the mistake was yours. Sometimes if the mistake is a minor one, like an incorrect number in the street address, and they recognize your name they will deliver.
